Resumen

El edema agudo de pulmón se caracteriza por la acumulación de líquido en el intersticio pulmonar, en los alvéolos, en los bronquios y bronquiolos; resulta de la excesiva circulación desde el sistema vascular pulmonar hacia el extravascular y los espacios respiratorios. El líquido se filtra primero al espacio intersticial perivascular y peribronquial y luego, de manera gradual, hacia los alvéolos y bronquios.
