Following the great success and wide acceptance of laparoscopy Surgery, the mini-invasive approach has been adopted for use in thoracic surgery. Thoracoscopy surgery is gaining acceptability as the procedure of choice for the treatment of recurrent pneumothorax and bullous lung disease, peripheral benign and malignant lesions, diffuse pulmonary infiltrate, Mediastinal and pleural lesion, esophageal surgery, and major pulmonary resection for primary lung tumors. We present the experience of a general surgery service that extended the use of its advanced laparoscopic skills to the performed of thoracoscopy surgery in 120 PATIENTS. Using thoracoscopy, were performed thoracoscopy diagnostic, biopsy or excision of pulmonary lesion 39, primary spontaneous pneumothorax 21, drainage o hemothorax 18, empyema 11, thoracic sympathectomy 9, Mediastinal mass 5, sequestration pulmonary extra lobar 1, The results are excellent, and we believe the procedures presented in this serie, and similar ones, can be accomplished safely and successfully by well-trained laparoscopy surgeons.
